How much child support would I get and would I also get alimony?

We've been married not even a year & things are falling apart. I'm still trying to work things out & keep my family together but he's being very selfish & still wants to separate. I'm now at my parents house w/ our 6 month old son & I don't work because he made me quit my job when I was 7 months pregnant. He didn't want me working anymore, especially once our son came along so now I stay home & take care of him full time. But I can't expect my parents to support my son & I. They've already let us live w/ them. We live in CA. If my husband makes $2300/month, how much child support would I get? And would I be able to collect alimony? I had a good job that I was w/ for 5 years making okay money but he had a fit because he did NOT want me to work. So I had no choice but to quit. Now I don't have any income & I might get a part time job but I won't be making anything near what I was before. Do I have to file for legal separation or a divorce before I can collect anything? plz help. Thanks!
