Why did Paul teach opposite of what Jesus taught?

I would tend to believe what is accredited to Jesus, not because he was supposed to be divine, but because what he taught is very similar to what I believe - Buddhism. Paul, in my view, was a bit envious of Jesus and wanted to be viewed as highly and with the same, if not higher, status. He had a severe inferiority complex.
