Pap smear?

I went 4 my frist ever pap smear today and I hate it so much it freakin hurt is that normal.My dad and mom says I need to 2 c a doctor about all that stuff cuz am almost 17. But omg It hurts so bad.I have a lady doctor she is so rude,ruff and mean. She was acting like I could not feel anything she was goin. I'm going to get a new doctor but I hate being looked at down there it make me feel weird. y does it hurt?
