Mercenaries in iraq... and no i'm not talking about the u.s solidiers?

I think one of the reasons being in the military does not make you rich is because we don't want people protecting our nation or fighting for it because it is good money. I'm doing research on privatizing the military and its downfalls, I wanted peoples opinion on the mecenaries the U.S government highers for Iraq... yes i know it has been going on since before Iraq, but this war has been more privatized than any other. some estimate over 100,000 private contractors are in Iraq. What do you see as the consequences for using mercenaries to beef up your armed forces.... some that are paid up to 1,000 a day through money earned with govenment contracts.
