Xbox 360 repair box problem?

I just got my repair box from Microsoft, but the two foam pieces in the box are STRAIGHT, unlike the picture in the instruction pamphlet. The three pieces inside the foam panels should be sticking up, but they aren't. Now, I REALLY don't want to break them since that would mean waiting ANOTHER week to get a replacement box. Any tips? Thanks :)
